The Eureka Heritage Society is a organization made up of volunteer members.  The major way in which you can help is to join the Society.  The goal of preserving Eureka's rich heritage of vintage homes depends on constant education and activism.

The destruction or desecration of older homes is often as a result of ignorance.    Education, as in so many other cases, is a key to preservation.

The Society, through its education program puts on various activities designed to increase the awareness of its citizens and homeowners to the practical advantages of preservation and restoration.

If you have an interest in historic preservation, restoration of older homes, or simply an interest in seeing Eureka remain the historic Victorian seaport that is rapidly become a major tourist attraction and is sometimes referred to as the Williamsburg of the West, then the Eureka Heritage Society is the organization for you.
